How to Play Keno
Keno is one of the best games to play because it is so easy to learn. It is very much like the lottery ball game and similar to bingo.
It is also one of the oldest numbers games in existence and is played in both online casinos and in land-based casinos. Keno and lottery games are very similar in the manner in which they are both played and is it of course, the basis for many lotteries as played throughout the world.
Keno is played using a field of numbers from 1 through 80. You can select up to 10 numbers in that field or choose the 'Quick Pick' feature. You win based upon how many winning numbers you match.
Online Keno is played in the card style - bingo fashion. You get a Keno Card with numbers from one (1) to eighty (80) and you select a wager amount from the top right of the Keno Card. You then attempt to predict what numbers will be drawn by selecting one or as many as fifteen of those numbers on the Keno Card or the maximum stipulated by the online casino. The wager amounts vary per online casino and usually stay the same regardless of how many numbers are chosen.
After clicking on the Play button, twenty of the numbers are then drawn and rolled out randomly. The numbers that are drawn are rolled out on the bottom of the Keno Card and are highlighted on the Keno Card automatically. Naturally, the more numbers that you have correctly predicted, the higher your payout.
Always check out the Payout Table within the online casino which will display the payouts based on the number of catches (correctly predicted numbers) from your selections on the card.
Live versus Video Keno
Video Keno, which is the online variation of live Keno, generally offers a much higher return and payout than live keno. It is also played at a much faster pace due to the fact that there is no circular glass enclosure as is present in the real live Keno.
